Migraines and HBOT

Migraines can derail a day in a matter of minutes. Inescapable and paralyzing, a migraine robs you of work time, play time, family time, and you time. Not knowing how long a migraine will last--or which symptoms will strike--means dealing with a hefty dose of uncertainty on top of the pain. You can reclaim your body, mind, and time by utilizing hyperbaric oxygen therapy as part of your migraine healing and prevention plan.

What is a migraine?

● Severe throbbing or pulsing headache, usually on one side of the head.

● Can last from four hours to three days.

● Can be debilitating & interfere with daily life. (1)

How does HBOT help migraines?

● Some migraines are caused by enlarged blood vessels. HBOT enables vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), which relieves these migraines. (4)

● One study showed 90% of migraine sufferers experienced immediate headache relief from HBOT, compared to 10% of the control group (4)

● Inflammation is theorized to be a cause of migraines; hyper-oxygenating the blood reduces brain inflammation (5)

● Supports growth of new blood vessels, & increases blood flow to damaged areas of the body (2)
